MISSION

Create a hub for small and medium-size fertilizer companies that, having common goals and complementary characteristics, want to share technologies and skills to generate competitive advantage and added value while respecting individual identity.
VISION

Become a global reference Group for SMEs dealing with specialty nutrition, biostimulation and biocontrol, leveraging our ability to offer innovative and environmental friendly solutions that successfully contribute to the transition to a more sustainable agriculture.
THE CHALLENGES OF GLOBAL AGRICULTURE
In the next future, the agricultural sector will be facing 3 main challenges: soil care, climate change and food safety. Specialty nutrition, biostimulation and biocontrol, approached in the proper way, can make a huge difference.
SOIL CARE

Soil depletion, due to intensive farming and pollution, is one of the most urgent environmental issues to address.
According to a recent UN estimate, the 52% of agricultural lands worldwide lie in poor conditions that will be worsening fast without immediate corrective actions.
If this continues, the agriculture will not feed the ever growing world population in the next future. Therefore, the soil must be the focus of a global project addressing its regeneration.
CLIMATE CHANGE

The climate upheavals due to global warming have a huge impact on agriculture, as they generate both extreme events that destroy crop yields and incremental changes that reduce arable lands.
The environmental stress conditions that plants are facing due to climate change are more and more often compromising the profitability of the whole agricultural sector.
FOOD SAFETY

The growing attention to food safety on a global level has resulted in stricter regulations and more sophisticated control systems to guarantee the adoption of safe practices throughout the food chain from farmers to fork.
Therefore, the hazards along the food chain can be monitored and the presence of contaminants on farm produce significantly reduced.
OUR APPROACH TO SUSTAINABILITY
Although considerable attention has been paid to these topics in the recent years, the solutions on the market are far from being fully satisfactory. The first pillar of Greenexta’s approach to sustainability is pushing forward the technological frontier of specialty fertilizers, biostimulants, biocontrol, and precision agriculture by investing in advanced biosolutions and agronomic practices aimed at:
- restoring soil biodiversity, fertility and health (bioregeneration and bioremediation), without neglecting other crucial issues such as bioavailability of nutrients and optimization of water resources.
- increasing crop tolerance to abiotic stress (drought, salinity, extreme temperatures), to counteract the dwindling of arable lands and increase the return on investments in non-optimal conditions.
- integrating the most innovative products and technologies to clear the path to quality and with low environmental impact agri-food productions.

Thanks to our long field experience, at Greenexta we know that even the most innovative and powerful technical tools are not enough for the growers to optimize crop yields and achieve economic and environmental sustainability.
In fact, to unlock the full potential of biosolutions, they have to be fine-tuned for each and every use case, by combining product technologies and good agronomic practices in the most profitable and responsible way.
For this reason, the second pillar of our approach to sustainability is the combination of efficient products and technical support, offered by experts who work alongside the growers to find together successful, sustainable, and customized solutions to the agronomic challenges they are facing at the present moment and will be facing in the future.
